my latest departure

the call came in the afternoon and he talked to the person that called.
He agreed to do what she suggested and then scurried around and got ready to depart.
soon he was prepared,
and he left in a whirl of snow~~~*

Even tho' the day was bright, the visibility was poor. He met up with his friends & together they braved the wicked wind and the icy surface of the roadway.

other motorists were not quite so lucky and were seen stranded in the ditch.

The boy   and his friends navigated their way down long, lonely roads as the daylight began to fade and dusk stole upon them..
hours later they arrived at their destination.
They whisked into the warm building and headed straight for the restrooms; oblivious to any one else in the restaurant. Then emerged, feeling relieved.

he forgot the blustery weather outdoors, relaxed in the comfortable temperature, and shared some laughs with people from Saskatchewan.
The mealtime passed rapidly and the group headed to Canada's most popular coffee joint. It was there that they met fellow travelers who advised them not to travel back home so the boy and his friends headed to Saskatchewan for night with the rest of the group.
and there they stayed, (having humorous times) until the next day when the road conditions were much friendlier.
