her best friend was a sheep

that spring day was one to remember...


             the cherry trees were forcing their delicate blossoms to say hello to the world & the world was definitely glad to meet them and make them feel right at home. ..

                        The sun was smiling happily on everything below her and she seemed to shine extra bright on this day because of the gentle rain that had caressed the earth previously. The tulips were just starting to show their colorful heads as were the daffodils~ 

                                           Every living thing seemed to be coming alive after the long dormancy of winter..

   she was walking along the winding, country lane, navigating through the puddles so as not to get her feet wet. .. ... .then she heard it__
                                                "Baa-aa-aaa"
                                                                         she looked to the left and caught a glimpse of a dirty woolen figure. Then she erupted into joyous song because here was her favorite animal!

           "Here Sheep, Here Sheep, Listen Little Sheep, Poor Little White Sheep.." were the words she sang as she inched closer. the sheep smiled & acted sheepish because, you see, no one had ever paid him much attention before now. She rubbed his filthy head and spoke words of comfort to his heart  <3

                  "I love you!" she said

                            "Baa-a!"  he said

   ...from then on it was like that every day. She would walk down the winding road and the same surge of emotions would rise within her...and no matter what she said to the sheep, he always said    "Baa-a!"
               she loved him.
