interior battle

The last shard of sunlight slips behind the edge of the horizon.
It's absence causes a gray effect.

He stands there.
Under God's street light- the moon.
Unsure of his purpose in Life.
With a confused and empty look on his face,
He begins to walk.
Right now he has no destination in mind.
His soul cries out for something deeper.
Something stronger.
He chooses to ignore.

God calls-
He turns away.
Too confused for Truth.

His feet keep the shuffling rhythm.
Kicking small stones and pieces of snow.
The night is still.
A faint breeze stirs a few leaves that managed
To hang on to the branches for the long winter.

He looks up at the moon numerous times.
A source of inspiration as always.
The clouds are wisping and gliding across its
Snowy Face.
That snowy face has watched this ol' Earth
For decades.
It has seen many a man wander thru the darkness of night.
Wondering.

The world is empty without God.
There is no joy.
No happiness.
Without God there is only feeble man.
Trying to please others.
& pretending to be happy themself.
But on the inside-
There is evil.
There is unrest.
There is a deep longing for TRUE joy,
That only God can give.

He thinks of all this as the miles slip behind him.
God is the only way.
He Knows.

but

Tonight it is just too hard to surrender everything
To the Almighty.
Why?
Why is it hard?
Is it pride?
Is he too proud too admit that God-
(and only God)
Can save?

Tonight is a night of questions.
He longs for a friend to tell everything to.
And really the friend he needs is GOD.

The wee hours of the morn find him,
Still searching & pondering.
Finally a sleep overwhelms the brain.
And gives a certain rest.

as down from a duckling

      Overnight- my world transformed
                       into a beautiful scene.

      Snowflakes- landed on everything
                          imaginable & the wind
                          frolicked, danced and swirled
                          the fluffy particles
                          into the air.

I stepped- out into this snow-globe world
                       with a broom in hand.
                       My plans included;
                       starting my car
                       and sweeping the
whimsical dust from its roof, etc.

2 hours later- I drove down the historic
main street of my home city.
                           in awe of the everything
                           many people clearing sidewalks
                           others struggling thru thigh-deep
                           snow to open their businesses
                           & shops for the morning.

I puffed- through the snow and watched it swirl
around my boots while I carried
jugs of water to thirsty citizens.

A smile- lit up my face as I greeted customers
this snow put me in a good mood
for some reason. even tho' it made
things like driving a car with summer
                    tires, quite abit more challenging.

Right now- I AM happy for this winter season
we shall see how long this happines
                        lasts :)

xanthic glow

Leaves; they are tired of staying up in the tree.
leaves
float down..

-and the sky is beautiful
in the morning
it gLows a radiant color
it is easier for me to get out of bed when the sky
is brilliant orange

or bluish purple
or gold.

& in the evening-
Woah! that is a most
glorious sight as well..the
dust from the harvesting of fields
wisps around through the
air
&
is very willing to
CATCH
particles of light and
make them glow

the water is slightly
too cold to
relax in
but
it becomes a reflective
mirror with floating leaves
of
crimson & gold
stuck to its surface.

Canadian geese honk and flap their powerful
wings as they fly south in their
famous alphabetical letter.
then take a rest in
a pond
field

Autumn!
you are my favorite season
you bring joy to my heart
and thrill to my soul
You.
I shall enjoy
'til the colder winds blow
and the snowflakes
fly
&
the roads turn to
(ice)

Then we shall hot things
like lattes and hot chocalate
to defrost..

WE shall discuss that
then~

swine dumplings

"DUCK!!" she screamed in her loudest and
                                                          most frantic voice.

he turned his face upward toward the wispy clouded sky__& got
                                                                                                    sMACKed
                                                                                                            in
                                                                                                           the face
by a football-shaped football that was moving at great speeds
through the lower atmosphere of the Earth..

"What a dunce he is," she thought to herself-
he felt stupid because he thought she had
maybe been talking of a duck flying south in the early autumn
                                                                                                                  sky.
Hurt feelings were involving both parties-

                                                ...

moon shadows

these last three days the moon has been a beautiful thing for me to
                             observe & admire.
It is what you would call a "full moon"
tonight the clouds are wisping around it in
                                                  wisping ways;
last night I watched it rise & glow with a pastel blu-ish
       pink-ish backdrop..
.. and then I went on to watch the meteor shower
that occurred right above our backyard!
(it probably took place above you as well)
I smile at these wonders of the night sky~
they intrigue me & so do moon shadows! walking around at
                                                                                                  night
with your shadow. What a rare companion
to have in the dark night__ take advantage of this time, my friends-

                                              g'night moon watchers

                                                         ..
