glory of gloves

      The day is cold. You awake; you struggle beneath your warm comforter (aka blanket) Then you arise. Your tingling feet come in contact with the throw rug on the hardwood floor and you climb out of your slumbering cocoon. Out the window your eyes wander, the world out there looks frozen and sprinkled with snow. Is this truly the season? But; the shades in the east of colors full of splendor and warmth make the flicker of a smile play across your lips. You leave the scene for just a moment and step into the shower. The steamy water embraces your body and squeezes the chill right out. Ahhh~ 
      All too soon, it seems, your time of warmth is over and the world of cooler temperatures is just waiting to have you back. Some everyday clothes are climbed into by you. Then off to the kitchen you go to prepare a cup of tea; sweetend with a shining drop of honey. (thanks be to the bee!) With a thermos in your hand you get bundled up in a coat. And then you think in your head- "Glory be-! ..for gLoves! that iLoves!" 
      So onto your hands go those handy contraptions. Your day seems much brighter and you almost look forward to the crisp scene waiting for you behind the closed door. Because; your hands will stay WARM*

 This young lady entered her name last night and of all things; this morning she won the book!


   Amberlynn was the name I pulled out after Jordyne so she will receive a small consolation package in the mail.

crescent watcher of the earth

      In the wee hours of this morning as I drove home from the city of Calgary alone, I thought of many things. I also tried to keep my eyes busy and wide awake so as not to fall asleep, swerve into a fellow automobile driver, or hit any of God's animals that may be crossing the road at the time. The stars were gloriously glowing all the while and at 12:46 AM a pale light began to force its way thru the darkness on the horizon.. For a moment I wondered, "What can it be!?" then it came to me- it must be my silent glowing friend of the night.. 
                  I watched it slowly rise thru the silvery clouds and become
                             a crescent watcher of the Earth..
   I thanked God for that wonderful orb, floating around the earth's atmosphere! He makes all things bright and beautiful~ How excellent and glorious are His works throughout this land.
